I started this blog as a blog for my weitghloss journey... But as I did my hair this morning (6/14/11) I thought I should just change my blog as a whole and blog about my life!!! BUT MAINLY my WEIGHTLOSS JOURNEY and my NATURAL HAIR JOURNEY!!! ENJOY!!!

Red Wine....
So I'm in my server training at Carrabbas today, and I had to try red wine. I am not a wine drinker as it is, so tasting red wine had me gone for a minute or two. Of the for wines that I tasted, I really liked the J.Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet. It had a woody taste to it, but it was pretty good. If I'm out with my "adult friends", I would totally order it.
This cabernet would go really good with steak or chocolate. Like I said it was a very woody flavor and was very dry. The after taste was kinda like an oaky sweet tart. I really liked it though.
Anywho, this is my wine journey... Off to my food show!!!
Natural Hair Crack Recipe!!!
Anywho, like I said I call it Hair Crack, because my hair JUST CANT GET ENOUGH!!! It also keeps alot of the bounce and if you put it on your afro, it helps define your curl pattern.
When I am making this, I putting it strait into the container that I plan to use if from. Right now, I am using a bath and body foam dipenser, but you can put it in a plain squirt bottle.
1oz of your favorite conditioner
2oz jojoba oil
2 table spoons olive oil
3-4oz pure aloe vera
MIX all these ingredients in your bottle by shaking fast until it is all mixed together. One it is all mixed, add water to the rest of the bottle. I used tap water for this batch, but I usually use water that has been filtered or bottled water!
SHAKE WELL before EVERY use! and ENJOY!!!
YOU DO NOT NEED ALOT OF THIS!!! When styling my hair, I drown it, but when putting this on my fro, I put a little in my hand and massage through!

Today's Meals.
Today I ate petty good. I am trying to look at how much I eat as well as what I eat. I didn't have a "bad" day, but it wasn't great. This is what I ate.
Breakfast: Steak, egg, spinach, and feta cheese sandwich.
***It was a small piece of grilled steak, a 100 calorie bun, 1 small egg, sauteed spinach. I warmed my steak, while waking it, I sauteed my spinach in olive oil. One it was finished, I added the egg to the spinach. I put the spinach egg on the bun, topped with feta crumbles, and I ous the steak on top. YUMMY!!!
LUNCH: Chicken club salad.
Shredded lettuce, grilled chicken, cheese, Bacon bits, seedless red grapes and honey dijon.
Dinner: Southwest potatoes with red beans and rice.
Cut potatoes in round pieces, fried them in veg oil, sprinkled with season salt and southwest seasoning.
For the red beans and rice, I made alot. 2 packages of smoked sausage, put the sausage in a pan and let it cook. I added a can of tomatoes, a can of Mexican charro beans, 2 cans of kidney beans with the bean juice and 2 without. I let it all simmer together. I put the beans over brown rice. It's Yummy.

I have been wanting to blog for A LONG TIME!!! I am VERY new to this and I don't really know what I am doing! So bare with me! Thanks!!!
Just a brief summary of my weightLOSS journey! I actually started this journey 6 weeks ago. I was in statistics and my class goal was to lose 20 pounds in 10 weeks. Everyone in the class had to pick a weight loss method and stick with it for the 10 weeks, my method is drinking ONLY water and NO FAST FOOD!!! For the first 5 weeks, I stuck my my plan and lost 8 lbs. Situations happened and I slipped during week 6 and I gained .73 of a pound!!! NOT GOOD!!!
Thus being said, this method is very hard, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Burger King, Sonic.... YUMMY!!! But I can't let those easy options lead me to distruction. This blog will help me stay focused because I want to be able to encourage other people with my same issues.

OH YEAH, in addition to not eating fast food and only drinking water, I am attempting to not eat WHITE CARBS after lunch. I am also adding LOTS of color to my diet. I didnt mention that I do shock my body by eating and drinking ANYTHING on Saturday's.

Wednesday: 56 min/ 3.3 mile walk :: 442 Calories
